As of April, Martin Klíčník, the current head of the production subdivision, will become the very first Czech head of division at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC). He will now lead the Production Division, which oversees all production departments (press shop, welding shop, paint shop, and final assembly), as well as the Maintenance Department and the Production Control and Planning Department.
“I greatly value the trust placed in me and am confident that, thanks to the excellent team I have the honor to work with, we will continue to enhance the reputation of our car manufacturing plant across all aspects of production. We will ensure maximum customer satisfaction in terms of both the quantity and quality of our vehicles,” said Martin Klíčník as he outlined his main priorities. “We will focus on automation and renovation—our plant has been in operation for over 15 years, which makes these steps essential. In the area of electrification, HMMC must respond to long-term plans aligned with EU measures and adapt production lines to increase our capacity to produce more electric vehicles. This also involves training colleagues, improving logistics, and reducing costs to maintain our competitiveness. We will also continue to increase employee involvement in the development and preparation of new models. Key topics will include efficiency and digitalization,” added the new head of the Production Division.
Martin Klíčník is one of the company’s longest-serving employees. He joined HMMC in 2007 in the Quality Control Department. In 2009, he was appointed head of the Quality Control Assembly Section, three years later became the head of the Quality Control Department, and in 2019 was named head of the Quality Subdivision. In September 2022, he took on the role of head of the Production Subdivision. Since 2013, he has also served as the coordinator of cross-functional teams (CFTs) responsible for verifying the readiness of new models for mass production.
