Electromobility is a key focus for the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) plant in Nošovice—an area that is transforming the entire automotive industry. Demand for electrified vehicles produced at HMMC continues to grow: in the first quarter of this year, hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric vehicles accounted for over 40% of total production.
The development of electromobility in the Moravian-Silesian Region is also being supported by the Together for Electromobility program, under which Hyundai Nošovice will provide selected applicants with an electric vehicle from its own production—the Hyundai Kona Electric, which has been manufactured at HMMC since 2020.
The Nošovice-based carmaker launched a pilot project to support clean mobility last summer, when it provided a Kona Electric for a full year for the official use of employees at the Třinec City Hall. In the coming months, thanks to the Together for Electromobility program, other interested applicants will also have the opportunity to receive a Hyundai Kona Electric free of charge for a six-month period—allowing them to experience the benefits of electric vehicles firsthand.
The aim of the program is to promote electromobility to the wider public in cooperation with towns, municipalities, and organizations across the Moravian-Silesian Region. Eligible applicants include municipalities, towns, voluntary associations of municipalities, as well as local associations, foundations, endowment funds, institutes, public benefit organizations, church legal entities, schools, and contributory organizations. Also eligible are government bodies and state or national enterprises operating in the fields of environmental protection, healthcare, education, research, development, or culture, provided they are based in or active within the Moravian-Silesian Region.
Detailed program conditions are available on the HMMC website.
