  • from July 27 to August 7, the HMMC plant will undergo its traditional summer shutdown
  • production lines in all facilities will undergo routine maintenance as well as major capital projects

From July 27 to August 7, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech will hold its traditional summer shutdown. The production lines will be used for routine maintenance, technology upgrades, and preparations for future production. In addition to standard maintenance work, several major investment projects will also take place this year.

In the welding shop, 42 robots will be replaced, which will help further increase production reliability and efficiency. In the paint shop, the second of five TAR ovens will be replaced, and in the final assembly hall, the conveyor belt on the final inspection line—where vehicles undergo a final check before shipment—will be replaced. Many of these activities are related to preparations for the smooth launch of production of a new model at the end of this year.

While most employees will be on plant-wide vacation during the shutdown, colleagues from maintenance, production, and support departments will ensure that the planned work is carried out and oversee its safe execution. Thanks to their efforts, production will be able to resume at full capacity once the shutdown is over.

We wish all employees who are taking vacation during this period pleasant summer days, plenty of rest, and the chance to recharge their batteries. We would like to thank our colleagues who will be participating in the planned work during the shutdown for their dedication, professionalism, and responsible approach.
