As part of the global initiative Giving Tuesday, which we have been participating in for several years, we decided to support the organization OvaHelp – Center for Assistance to Oncology Patients with an amount of 150,000 CZK.
OvaHelp in Ostrava was founded in 2017 by Ing. Zdeňka Hyvnarová, who herself underwent oncology treatment. Her personal experiences led her to create a place where patients find psychological support, professional consultations, and practical help. Since its inception, the center has helped more than 5,000 people.
“When a person receives a diagnosis, they often don’t know what to do next. Our initial consultations and psychotherapy are about helping patients find peace, courage, and hope,” says the founder of OvaHelp.
