Good Neighbor: we support surrounding municipalities with CZK 840,000
As part of its Good Neighbor program, Hyundai is donating CZK 60,000 to 13 municipalities in the surrounding area to organize cultural and social events. Selected municipalities will receive an additional CZK 30,000 for environmental activities.
At the beginning of March, the car manufacturer launched the Together grant program, to which non-profit organizations, associations, and individuals from across the Moravian-Silesian Region can submit applications.
Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) continues to support communities in the vicinity of its plant through the Good Neighbor program. In this year’s 15th edition, each of the 13 participating communities will receive a financial contribution of CZK 60,000. The funds will be used primarily to organize cultural and social events and purchase equipment for local associations. The ceremonial presentation of symbolic checks took place on Wednesday, March 4, when HMMC President Sanghoon Yoon handed them over to representatives of the municipalities.
Among the supported activities are, for example, the Nošovice Festival, Raškovice Municipality Day, a senior citizens’ outing and Children’s Day in Dolní Domaslavice, and traditional movie nights at the Kamenité complex in Vyšní Lhoty. Support is also directed toward smaller community projects, such as the purchase of equipment for municipal and cultural events in Pazderna and support for the activities of local associations in Nižní Lhoty.
As part of the Good Neighbor Together subprogram, the municipalities of Vyšní Lhoty and Nižní Lhoty will receive additional financial support in the amount of CZK 30,000. The initiative focuses on environmental and community activities involving local residents and HMMC employees. In Vyšní Lhoty, an avenue of fruit trees will be planted, while in Nižní Lhoty, a natural embankment of trees, grasses, and herbs will be created to provide shelter and a source of food for birds, small animals, and insects.
Support for activities in the region is also supplemented by the Společně grant program. From March 1 to March 31, non-profit organizations, associations, and individuals from across the region can apply for support through this program. It offers financial assistance in four categories: Children, People with Disabilities, Community, and Sports. The amount of the contribution per project ranges from CZK 5,000 to CZK 25,000. In 2025, a total of 46 projects were supported under the program with CZK 1,002,896.
Details about the program can be found on the carmaker’s website www.hyundai-motor.cz in the About the Company section. Applications can be submitted through the Grantys system.
