Governor’s Award for Corporate Social Responsibility Goes to HMMC
Through its grant programs, Hyundai Nošovice has long supported the development of neighboring municipalities, employee-led projects and initiatives, and contributed to helping young talents achieve their dreams. Thanks to the plant’s diverse CSR activities, the car manufacturer was awarded the prestigious Governor’s Award for Corporate Social Responsibility for 2022 on Tuesday, May 9. Just like three years ago, the Hyundai Nošovice plant won in the category for businesses with over 250 employees.
In recent years, HMMC has launched a number of other socially responsible projects and formed new partnerships with regional organizations. For example, it is a partner of FC Baník Ostrava Academy, Dolní Vítkovice, and the Technotrail (Technotrasa), and it also cooperates with ČSOP Salamandr on the restoration of mountain meadows in the Beskydy Mountains.
“This award means a great deal to me personally and to our company. It proves that being socially responsible is not just a phrase for us—it’s something we continuously improve and move forward. I’m very pleased that this is recognized not only by the region, but also by our employees, because they are the ones who help us live up to our social responsibility.”
