From Nošovice to Schools: Our Vehicles Support Education

• Eleven pre-production vehicles will be donated to secondary schools and universities, not only in the Moravian-Silesian Region.

• Since 2008, the Hyundai plant in Nošovice has donated a total of 159 cars for educational purposes.

Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) has given a generous pre-Christmas gift to schools both near and far — pre-production vehicles that will be used to train future auto mechanics and technicians. Students will have the opportunity to study models such as the Tucson in hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, as well as the Kona Electric and i30 N. One of the electric vehicles from Nošovice is headed to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the VSB – Technical University of Ostrava.

“We will use this gift not only for developing dissertation projects but also in collaboration with students on their bachelor’s and master’s theses. At the same time, we plan to conduct various measurements in our testing labs, focusing on electromobility, magnetism, and more,” said Jan Blata, head of the Department of Design.

Students at the Secondary Technical School and Business Academy in Bruntál can also look forward to working with the Kona Electric. “We’re absolutely thrilled. Our school is actively engaging in electromobility education and has even launched a dedicated auto-electrotechnics program. We’re trying to stay ahead in this field, and the car will be a huge asset,” said school principal Jan Meca.

Since 2008, the Hyundai plant in Nošovice has donated 159 cars to schools for educational use. In addition, it has provided other training equipment such as gearboxes, electric motors, converters, and contactors.

Pre-production cars, which are not permitted for use on public roads, also find their purpose elsewhere — such as at Leoš Janáček Airport in Mošnov, on racing circuits in Most and Brno, or at the test polygon in Hradec Králové. Some are even used by firefighters for training exercises.
